Scented Candle Doany Alasora Max 16 Baobab

The Alasora scented candle is covered with beige raffia featuring an Aboriginal motif that references sacred places, woven in a mix of reddish ochre and black. Handwoven by a women's cooperative in Madagascar, this candle, with all its colors, is the most African in our collection.

Its sunny fragrance of orchid, fleur de sel, and ylang-ylang pays tribute to the summer that is approaching.

Raffia is an indigenous plant species harvested annually. The leaves are dried and then cut into long strips so they can be dyed and subsequently crocheted. Our women's cooperative in Madagascar has been producing the raffia for our Raphia candles for eight years, driven by our creative direction. The motifs are first drawn and then crafted by the crocheters in Madagascar. Thanks to this annual project, women can earn a decent income and send their children to school.
